====== How to create a YouTube ID ======

===== If you do not have a Google ID =====

  * Go to [[http://www.youtube.com/|YouTube]] and click on the "Create Account" link\\ {{ :youtube:01_create_account.png?nolink |Create YouTube Account}}
  * Create a Google account\\ {{ :youtube:google_user_name.png?nolink |Google User Name}}\\ Note that your Google user name may not be the same as your YouTube ID.
  * You're all set -- but not so fast. Click the "Back to YouTube" button \\ {{ :youtube:03_youre_all_set.png?nolink |You're all set}}
  * You are now registered with YouTube -- but you don't yet have a YouTube ID! Click "YouTube settings" to continue.\\ {{ :youtube:04_youtube_settings.png?nolink |YouTube settings}}
  * In the Account Information screen, click "Create a Channel".\\ {{ :youtube:05_create_a_channel.png?nolink |Create a channel}}
  * Enter your desired YouTube user name -- this will also serve as your channel name.\\ {{ :youtube:06_choose_channel_and_id.png?nolink |Choose channel and ID}}\\ **This is the name that you'll need for YouTube for Education, so be sure to make a note of it!**
  * Click the "Next" button and then the "All done!" button.
  * Finally, [[http://www.smis.ac.jp/Teachers/YouTubeRegistration.aspx?action=RegisterID|visit the St. Mary's website to register your YouTube ID]].

===== If you already have a Google ID =====

  * Go to [[http://www.youtube.com/|YouTube]] and click "Sign In"\\ {{ :youtube:11_sign_in.png?nolink |Sign in}}
  * After signing in with your Google ID, you'll see this screen. Click on your user name to contiune.\\ {{ :youtube:12_you_are_now_registered.png?nolink |You are now registered}}
  * In the expanded pane, click on "My channel" to continue.\\ {{ :youtube:13_click_on_my_channel.png?nolink |My channel}}
  * Choose your options and then click "OK, I'm ready to continue".\\ {{ :youtube:14_ok_im_ready_to_continue.png?nolink | OK I'm ready to continue}}
  * You have added a channel to your account. But note that you have not chosen a YouTube ID!\\ {{ :youtube:you_have_added_a_channel.png?nolink |You have added a channel}}
  * Click on your user name again, and click on YouTube settings.\\ {{ :youtube:15_click_on_youtube_settings.png?nolink |YouTube settings}}
