From time to time you may receive a message similar to the following:
This message is sent by the e-mail anti-virus filter when it encounters a suspicious attachment. Instead of sending you the attachment (which is quarantined), the filter sends you this notice.
You receive the notice in case the filter has wrongly marked the message: a “false positive”. It gives you the details of the sender and the attachment type.
If you decide after reviewing the sender and attachment type that the message is not malicious, you should forward the message to the IT department and we will release it from quarantine for you. If (as in the majority of the cases) it is a malicious message, you can either disregard or delete the notification (you are not at risk from the notification itself).
