Signing into “My YouTube” on the Apple TV allows for much smoother YouTube playback than by mirroring from your device.

1. With the Apple TV remote, go to the YouTube app
   (On newer Apple TVs, you may need to install the app first from the App Store)
2. Navigate to My YouTube
3. On your phone, tablet or computer, go to youtube.com/activate
4. Enter the code shown on your Apple TV screen, and click Next
5. Confirm the permissions for your YouTube account, and click Allow

Notes:

• You need to have a YouTube account to sign in
• This will allow your YouTube history and recommended videos to be seen on the Apple TV
