Filter Category Override

Some sites don't work well with the typical filter override. For these sites the Category Override may provide better results.

(Technical explanation: sites which use multiple domains to serve various content – such as images, javascript and CSS files – may need overrides on all such domains in order to function well.)

Here's how to do this:

  1. Navigate to the blocked site and click the Override button
    iPrism override button
  2. Log in with your school user name and password (the same as for your St. Mary's e-mail account)
    iPrism log-in
  3. Under “Override scope”, choose “Current Categories”
    iPrism current categories
  4. (Optional) Select the override duration (up to 8 hours)
  5. Click “Finish”.
